DAY 1: KATHMANDU
Namaste! Please be welcome to Nepal. It is time to go to the Kathmandu airport, where the immigration, baggage, and customs clearance will take place. As you walk out in the arrival area, a representative of Affordable Luxury Travel is already waiting with a placard bearing your name. You will then be helped & hounslow airport taxi to the hotel. Later in the afternoon, head out to pay a visit to Boudnath. Bouddhnath Stupa is the largest of its kind in the world and is located just outside the Pashupatinath temple.
It is constructed on a flat base on several terraces and is surrounded by prayer flags and painted in pale colors. You will meet the Lama in person, who will offer you a Khada, before proceeding to the Monastery for prayers. After prayers, speak to the Senior Lama to gather more information on Buddhism and receive his blessings. Savor a local Tibetan Dinner at a restaurant. The night stay is in a hotel.
DAY 2: KATHMANDU
Following breakfast, visit Patan Durbar Square. In Patan, the old Newar city, you will visit the historic durbar square, the golden gate, the towering temple of Taleju and the statue of Yogendra Malla, Krishna Ma Mandir, satti Temple, Hiranya Varna Mahabiar(the golden temple)and Mahabudha gazing through the old carved wood windows of the streets and curios shops and Bazaars. Go on to a Tibetan Singing Bowl & Healing Center, which is a local shop where one can have sound-healing therapy using handmade Tibetan bowls. The sounds that the bowls make are said to help cure headaches, back pains, stress and insomnia!
The sound healing session that lasts less than half an hour is free of charge and after kumari blessing tika is performed. Thereafter, proceed with the drive to Swayambhunath Swayambhunath (UNESCO world heritage site) – Swayambhunath literally means ‘Self – Existent One’. Tibetan culture sees it established more the 2500 years ago. An inscription dated in the year of 460 A D states its construction was by King Manadeva. By the thirteenth century Swoyambhunath had turned into a center for the diffusion of Buddhism and its auspicious teachings. It is also called the Monkey Temple as there are some sacred monkeys residing in the Northern West part of the temple.
Most likely, Swayambhunath is the most sacred among Buddhist Pilgrimage sites and it is situated at a central place. Afternoon visit to Kathmandu Durbar square then followed by walking tour of Bahal there are approximately 50 temples around in the close area. In this tour, we cover the 17th Century Durbar complex, Hanuman Dhoka, Paravati temple, great Bell and Drum, and Bhairav and Taleju Temple. The beauty of the historical constructions is however in competition with the market activities. Vegetable vendors, flute trees, hawkers with their goods hanging around waiting for a buyer, souvenir vendors and other street vendor selling foreign goods and sequin lots around the quiet place near the custom made beauty bead necklace.
There is more to this tour than just visiting the places in the itinerary, “Hippy Trail” or Bahal Tour as it is called will have participants walking in some areas where many hippy in late 50s came to make their second home. This short adventure is design to explore most of the parts of hippie hang outs including some of the changes made in order to enhance the fun. Also, today we will hike from Thaithy chowk to Kathmandu Durbar Square. Beware of the narrowness of the streets and the vehicles and other pedestrians that cramp your movements and the narrow lanes leading you to the Kathmandu Durbar Square.
DAY 3: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
Today you will be driven in your private vehicle to Chitwan (On the way approximately 06 hrs). As you reach in Chitwan, check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, you will go for a visit to the nearby Tharu Village. Go out to see the way of life of these tribes who are believed to have been not afflicted by malaria and that’s the only reason they have occupied this part of the world before malaria was wiped out in the 1960s. In the evening, there will be slide show. One of the specialists on the jungle will present introductory information and history of Royal Chitwan National Park and some other subjects related to fauna. You will be encouraged to ask questions. Meals include; dinner & overnight is at the hotel.
DAY 4: CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast proceed for Jungle Activities. Join a jungle safari by jeep with an experienced driver behind the wheel and a naturalist navigating you through the jungles on roads suitable for vehicles. This includes a whole lot of fun as this can last up to 3 to 4 hours. In search of wild animals such as spotted deer, barking deer, hog deer, monkeys, wild boar, sloth bear, leopard and the Royal Bengal tiger if luck is on our side. Apart from the wild animals, we would visit deep inside the national park where the Naturalist will explain the types of forests, types and varieties of trees in the forest, many species of birds etc. Lunch at Resort/ Lodge. In the evening, go for a nature walk followed by birding and canoeing or boating. Dinner & overnight is at the hotel
DAY 5: POKHARA
Proceed for birding in the early morning hours. Our area has 276 species of birds and out of 519 species of the birds we have recorded. Some of the species will be pointed out to you during the identification process. Go back to the hotel for breakfast and prepare to head out for birds again.
After finishing your breakfast, you will be transferred to Pokhara using your private vehicle (Approximately 05 hrs). Pokkara is situated in a serene valley of 827m at the foothill of the massive Annapurna Himalayan Range. Pokhara is nicknamed the vacationer's paradise as well. On the way, make sure to have lunch as you will be paying out of pocket at a Local Restaurant. After lunch proceed with the driving till you reach Pokhara and when you arrive you will check in at the hotel. After some rest we will get into the vehicle and proceed to the Peace Stupa Basement (Parking Area). It is necessary to ascend the steps for a distance of 100 m from the Parking lot.
Shanti Stupa also known as Peace Pagoda in Pokhara is one of the great sites located on Anadu Hill surrounded by green beautiful Phew Lake and the stunning Annapurna Mountain range behind it. It draws a large number of visitors, one more picture postcard sight or a social resting space for the brave climbers. Across the lake Phewa and Himalayan hills one can find plenty of climbing routes. One can either bike on one of the trails to the top of the hill, drive towards the Stupa, or drive through beautiful surroundings.
The serene atmosphere of the memorial site is worth going for while the stunning splendor is simply stunning. The stupa, set up on the pedestal on top of the Anadu Hill, enhances the beautiful Pokhara Valley. This is one ideal vacation spot that has an unobstructed view of the peak Himalayas mountain ranges, Phewa Lake, and the city of Pokhara. The places on the top of the hill are ideal for sunbathing since the sun rises and sets beautifully from there. Move down to Parking; get into the vehicle and drive back to your hotel. Tonight shall be spent at the hotel.
DAY 6: POKHARA
The clients will have breakfast; proceed to Phewa Power House Little from lunch: slightly above the lunch table. approx driving the distance of 15min: Close distance Yeti currently operates 2 flights on this route. Phewa lake, which is close to the Parsa hill, is the other visible shrubland near the lake, the lake Perched valleys in Pokhara, lake waters which beat the wind close by Were vortex reflects Fishtail and other mountains, There comes a little island and Tal Barahi temple between the twinning waters in the middle and the gleaming white-colored stupa on the gracious hilltop The gales of Cow washable glider sails start to jump from the high Sky to Sarankot, fresh valleys per paralleled, colonized Upper Tamarind, racing in the vibrant wind, all at once into Phewa Lake.
We begin our walk from Parking, and after crossing the suspension bridge, we walk through small Damsadi Village (20 min). The first view point is where most tourists get tighter views of the Pardi River, Lake, Annapurna Manaslu temples, and the entire view of Pokhara vally. Further, walk to Ambot Village (950M). (gentle ascending walk, walk time- approximately 30 minutes). After that, we walk back to Damsadi village and backtrack across the suspension Bridge to the parked vehicle and drive back to Pokhara.
The significant features of Damsadi Village Hike: • The longest suspension bridge of Kaski District (276m) • Breathe in the nature views of Pardi River, Mt Annapurna, Mt Manaslu, Mt Dhaulagiri Himalayan range and the entire Pokhara valley (depending on the weather conditions). • Damsadi Bridge (224 m long). • Location:- Southern Parts of Pokhara • Damsadi, subbarah, kaski nepal • Coverable Walking distance 05 km • Walking time coverage approximately 03 hrs (inclusive of driving but rest time is not included) • Highest altitude 950M ( A perspective taken from Ambot village towards Annapurna and mount Dhaulagiri as axis) • The lowest altitude is 800M (the point where the hike begins which is the Phewa power house): After the hike, board on the bus and drive back to the lakeside. Lunch at lake side local Restaurant on direct payment basis. On reaching the shores of the lake make for the cruise on Phewa Lake.
Day 7 - Kathmandu
The day begins with breakfast; afterward, a private transfer is provided to the sites. It takes around 05 hours (05 hrs). There is a scope for lunch at local restaurants while on the road, but the expenses will be borne directly. As you arrive in Kathmandu check in at the pre booked hotel. You can also relax a bit in the evening. The hotel is where you will spend the night.
Day 8 - End of Itinerary
Today after breakfast and while checking out the hotel, clients will be escorted in their private car to Kathmandu international airport for the next flight to their next destination.
