Hotel breakfast. Get picked up and go on your Fascinating Bohol Tour with lunch. Early in the morning, leave your lodge for a day trip that will show you the best of Bohol. It starts with the Philippine Tarsier Foundation in the town of Corella. This is where the tarsier, which is the tiniest mammal in the world, can find safety. Watch these rare, nighttime animals in their natural environment. You'll be amazed at how quickly they can move, jumping from tree to tree and turning their heads almost completely around. Next, go to Baclayon and take a short break at the historical Blood Compact site. This is where Miguel Lopez de Legazpi, a Spanish explorer, and Datu Sikatuna, a local chieftain, signed their friendship with a drink. In Baclayon, there is a museum in a stone church that is hundreds of years old and has a collection of religious art, priestly robes, and Latin-written librettos of church music on animal skins. As the tour goes on, it will pass by the Bilar man-made forest, which is made up of tall mahogany trees that grew along the sides of the highway that leads to the Chocolate Hills, which are a natural wonder of the country. From far away, these hills look like big candy drops. They change colour with the seasons, and when the plants on the hills turn dark brown in the summer, it makes sense that they are called "chocolate." You can hike up to the peak to get a great view of the area before continuing to the Loboc River. A lunch cruise downstream on a floating restaurant is more fun when it includes tasty food. Get back to the hotel by the end of the afternoon.
